Electronic Account of an Insuree (EUP)

Text

The Electronic Account of an Insuree is a modern successor to the application Individual Account of an Insuree. Other new functionalities have been added to the portfolio of the Electronic Account of an Insuree (EUP) after the Electronic Working Incapacity (ePN). They make life easier for clients when preparing for retirement, parental pension (RD), unemployment benefits, but also sickness or accident benefits. Thus, in several life situations, insured persons no longer have to request information and wait for an answer or visit a Social Insurance Agency branch. They find out what they need comfortably from home. Clients of the Social Insurance Agency have an Electronic Account of an Insuree automatically set up, they just need to activate access to it in person or electronically.

Among the main reasons, why the client should activate access to the Electronic Account of an Insuree is mainly speeding up and simplifying communication with the Social Insurance Agency. The advantages of access to the electronic account of the insured are:

  • time saving – fewer personal visits to branches in order to obtain documents on social insurance,
  • immediate access to information and the possibility of printing it, which he previously obtained through correspondence with the Social Insurance Agency,
  • online overview of social insurance and paid benefits and the possibility of printing the required overviews,
  • possibility of feedback via contact forms, e.g. in case of complaints.

With these advantages the insuree gets, for example:

  • an overview of insurance periods, the possibility to check individual insurance periods (sickness, pension, unemployment) and their records in the Social Insurance Agency systems, which is also important in preparing for the old age,
  • information for entitlement to benefits (including information on submitted applications for individual benefits) and also documents for calculating the amount of the social insurance benefit (e.g. sickness, maternity, nursing, unemployment benefit, old-age/early old-age pension, invalidity pension),
  • an overview of paid sickness and accident benefits, the possibility to check the receipt of benefits (ePN – electronic incapacity for work or accident benefits),
  • control and reverse control of data, e.g. the employee can check whether the employer pays social insurance contributions for them,
  • checking records of life periods during which the insuree does not pay social insurance premium, e.g. maternity or nursing

The Electronic Account of an Insuree (EUP) is a useful source of information about social insurance:

Preparing for retirement

Retirement is one of the most important moments in a citizen's life, when they turn to the Social Insurance Agency. The new tool called Preparation for retirement is a smart helper for those who want to prepare for applying in advance and during their active life.

It is shown to an insured person who is over 45 years old and does not receive an old-age, early old-age or invalidity pension. It contains:

  • accompanying information from which the client learns what the new service includes
  • information about the unregistered period, i.e. periods in which, according to the records of the Social Insurance Agency, the pension insurance did not last,
  • overview of data for the purposes of pension calculation, i.e. periods registered by the Social Insurance Agency. These are data on the number of days of pension insurance and the achieved assessment bases recorded by the Social Insurance Agency, as well as on general assessment bases and personal wage points calculated from them,
  • overview of employers with whom Social Insurance Agency registers the period of pension insurance from January 1, 1993. From this overview, the client learns the name of the employer who paid the premium for the pension insurance, the date of commencement and cessation of this insurance.

The insuree will thus receive advantages in the form of information that will help them prepare for retirement without contacting the Social Insurance Agency. With an active approach, they can subsequently obtain the necessary documents even before writing the pension application, which will result in shortening the pension procedure. At the same time, they will see in the EUP whether they have reached the pension insurance period for early old age pension after 40 years of working history.

Overview of paid pension benefits

The EUP is a useful source of information not only for insured persons of active age, but also for pension recipients. In the "Overview of pension benefits paid" tab, they can generate a list of awarded and paid benefits for the selected period of the marked years - and specifically for a specific year. The data are given for individual months of the selected calendar year. The pension recipient can thus check back at any time and get an overview of the awarded and paid benefits, which may be different - for example, due to deductions from the pension. The list also contains data on paid parental pension and supplements.

Parental pension - submission of declaration, family relations

The Electronic Account of an Insuree also brings order to the parental pension (in Slovak RD). In the new version, parents can check at any time whether Social Insurance Agency correctly registers the "parent-child" relationship, the entitlement to RD or the amount of RD. The child, on the other hand, can submit or change the Declaration of Entitlement to parental pension directly in the Electronic Account of an Insuree.

The function Parental pension - Cancellation / Change of declaration for RD allows the client to cancel or change the declaration for the purpose of entitlement to parental pension directly in the EUP. They do not have to send their signed form in paper, or contact the Social Insurance Agency. Those who submitted the original declaration on paper can also change their original declaration electronically. We have also digitized these submissions and insured persons can find them in the EUP.

The function Parental pension - Family relations for the purposes of RD contains a list of children taken into account for entitlement to parental pension, while data on family relations are always displayed according to the current decision. The list always contains data for the current year. The insured person, the recipient of the pension, will thus obtain information on how many children have been taken into account for the entitlement to the parental pension and thus need not contact the Social Insurance Agency office.

Sickness insurance

In addition to tracking data on ePN (Electronic Working Incapacity), which the client no longer applies for (Social Insurance Agency handles it automatically and the client can see information on the status of benefit processing), a new feature is an overview of paid sickness benefits: sickness, nursing, maternity, equalization and pregnancy benefits. An overview of paid sickness benefits in the selected period for the past 10 years will be generated for the client.

Unemployment benefit

From now on, the insuree will find out about the progress of the application and the payment of the unemployment benefit without visiting the Social Insurance Agency, also through the Electronic Account of an Insuree (EUP). The whole process is transparent, similar to the electronic working incapacity (ePN) service. If the client submits an application for unemployment benefit at the employment office, they no longer need to visit the Social Insurance Agency and can then follow the process of approval and awarding of the benefit (including its amount) in their EUP.

In it, the user can see: the status of the request (in addition to the dates of receipt of the request and the support period, they can also see the status of the request; by clicking on a specific line, the details of the selected request will be displayed), details of the request and payment of benefits.

Accident benefits

The EUP provides the insuree with more information about individual types of accident benefits. In the Overview of all received applications tab, the insuree learns information about each of the accident benefits that apply to them. (An overview related to ePN is also provided in the section EUP/Sickness Insurance/ePN Electronic Working Incapacity.) From the new tab in EUP, clients will learn what type of accident benefit they have applied for, the date of its registration, the method of payment of the benefit (bank account/postal order ) and the status of the application - whether the deadline for issuing a decision has been extended, whether the proceedings have been interrupted or whether the benefit has already been awarded, not awarded or the proceedings on it have been stopped.

Why is it important for the insured to have an overview of their social insurance?

Text

The number of days of insurance and the assessment basis from which the premium was paid directly affects whether the client will be entitled and at the same time in what amount the benefit will be calculated - e.g. sickness benefit, maternity benefit, nursing benefit, unemployment benefit, old-age pension, early old-age pension, etc. The Social Insurance Agency provides these data in order to increase the information of the insuree about the data decisive for the entitlement to the social insurance benefit and for determining its amount.

How do I set up access to the Electronic Account of an Insuree?

Text

The way to access the Electronic Account of an Insuree is simple:

  • clients who use an electronic identity card (eID) can obtain access completely electronically after filling out and sending the form via www.slovensko.sk by means of eSchránka,
  • we recommend other insurees to contact the SIA branch and check whether they did not have access to eServices set up in the past, or to the Insured's Individual Account - we will check it for you at the branch and if we find that you had access established in the past (although you did not use it), we will send you new login data to activate access to your Electronic Account of Insuree (EUP),
  • if you do not use an electronic identity card (eID) or have never had access to eServices in the past, or to the Individual Account of an Insuree, one personal visit to the Social Insurance Agency branch will be enough to arrange the access - to save time, you can fill in and print the form in advance at home, which can be found here: Application for Establishing Access to the Electronic Account of an Insuree.

The validity of the activation link generated by the Social Insurance Agency branch for the initial creation of a password is 24 hours.

2. How long is the activation code valid for accessing the EUP with an electronic identity card?

The code for activating access to the EUP with an electronic identity card (eID) is valid for 3 days from generation.

3. What should I do if I forgot my login name?

If you do not remember your SSN login (identifier assigned by the Social Insurance Agency), contact any branch of the Social Insurance Agency, which will provide you with your login information if necessary.

4. What should I do if I forgot my password?

In order to reset your password, you do not need to contact a branch. Just click on Forgot my password and you will receive a link to create a new password in your email. After clicking this link, the system will ask for a code from the authenticator, and after entering the code, you can create a new password (according to defined criteria).

5. Why did EUP prompt me to update my password?

This is for security reasons. Validity of the access password is 365 days, after which the password has to be updated (changed).

6. What should I do if the system reports an error when changing my password?

If you see the message "We're sorry... An unexpected error occurred while processing the authentication request to the identity provider" when changing your password, click the Forgot password link. After clicking, do not close the browser and the password reset link that comes to you, in the same browser open the window where you entered the request, or copy the link from the email, and then open it in the browser window where you entered the request for forgotten password. After entering the correct codes from the authenticator, the system will allow you to create a new password without entering the original one.

7. I changed my mobile phone. Could this cause the problem with my logging in?

Yes, changing the original mobile phone you used to log in to the EUP for a new one will disable the access. So, if you change your mobile phone, log in to the portal with your "old" mobile phone and through Settings / advanced settings / authenticator - remove this method (click the trash can). The system will automatically offer you a new QR code, which you can then scan into your "new" mobile phone and from now on you will use it to log in. If you no longer have the "old" mobile phone, contact any branch of the Social Insurance Agency, they will generate a new QR code for you. It will be displayed to you when you log in again, and you will scan it again into your "new" mobile phone.

8. When logging in to eServices, the field for choosing an authentication method is not displayed. What is the problem?

If you do not see the checkboxes for selecting the authentication method (Password, eID) or you do not see the Send button when logging in to SP eServices, the problem is in the settings of your device. We recommend that you change the screen resolution, or turn off the use of the magnifier.
