Non-payment of contributions

In certain cases, your voluntary insurance may lapse and, with it, the obligation to pay it. Take a look at what periods this applies to and what needs to be done.

When should I stop paying voluntary insurance?

Text
  • during a period of receiving a maternity benefit;
  • during a period of receiving a sickness benefit;
  • during a period of receiving a nursing benefit.

Is it necessary to notify the Social Insurance Agency about non-payment of contributions?

Text

No. This is not necessary in a period when this obligation is excluded by law. You simply stop paying it in this period and start again when this period ends.
