If you are temporarily unable to work (working incapacity WI) due to a work accident (or occupational disease), you can receive a benefit called accident supplement during this WI.
During temporary WI caused by an accident at work or occupational disease, you can receive income compensation or sickness benefit and also an accident supplement. This should partially replace the difference between your original income and income replacement or sickness benefit

In addition to the above-mentioned conditions, you are entitled to an accident supplement only if you are entitled to income compensation for temporary WI or entitlement to sickness benefit.
because of an accident at work or occupational disease, you do not need to submit a separate application for an accident supplement to the Social Insurance Agency. The issuance of an eWI - ePN by a doctor is automatically considered a request for a benefit, which will be assessed and handled by the Social Insurance Agency. After visiting the doctor, you no longer have any other obligations.
you will apply for a benefit II. as part of the Confirmation of temporary incapacity for work form at the Social Insurance Agency branch according to the employer's registered office (indicate the benefit you are applying for – accident supplement) on the form.
