If you have been delisted from the Register of Job Seekers while receiving unemployment benefits, you can claim a lump sum payment of 50% of unemployment benefist for the remaining part of the support period. the remaining part of the support period.

Who is eligible/Conditions of eligibility

Under what conditions can I apply for a lump sum payment of 50% of my unemployment benefits?

  • if the period of receiving unemployment benefits lasted at least three months;
  • you have not been awarded an old age pension, an early old age pension or an invalidity pension due to a reduction in earning capacity by more than 70%.

Will the lump sum be paid automatically or do I have to apply for it?

No. You must apply for it in writing.

Do I have to apply for the benefits right after being delisted from the register?

No. You can apply for the benefit at any time. The entitlement to payment of this benefit expires three years after deregistration.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Your entitlement to unemployment benefits will end with the lump sum payment of 50% of your unemployment benefits. If you are re-registered in the Register of Job Seekers within two years or less after being removed from it, you will no longer be entitled to draw the benefit. 

How much benefit can I be paid?

The Social Insurance Agency can pay you 50% of the unemployment benefit for the remaining part of the support period.

Fill in the application form

In the Forms section on the Social Insurance Agency website, you can find the Application for a Lump Sum Payment of 50% of Unemployment Benefit for the remaining part of the support period. The application form is also available at any Social Insurance Agency branch.

Send the application to the Social Insurance Agency

Send the application to the Social Insurance Agency branch at the place of residence in person, by post or via your electronic mailbox (www.slovensko.sk).
