Apply for unemployment benefit again

Have you applied for unemployment benefit in the past and do not know if you can claim it again? See the conditions under which this is possible.

When can I apply for unemployment benefits again?

Text

If you have not drawn the full 6-month support period, and if you are re-registered as a jobseeker within a period of less than two years and re-apply for unemployment benefits, you will be entitled to draw the remaining part of the support period.

What will be the amount of unemployment benefits when I apply for it again?

Text

The amount of the benefit will be the same as before.

When does my entitlement to unemployment benefits end?

Text
  • When you are delisted from the Register of Job Seekers at the Labour Office. If this happens, the Social Insurance Agency will stop paying your benefit even if you have not yet drawn the whole support period.
  • If you are re-registered as a jobseeker within a period of less than two years and you draw the full support period.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Obsah

If two years (more than 730 days) have elapsed since you were registered as a jobseeker, during which time your insurance has been paid (as an employee or voluntarily insured person), you will be entitled to new benefit. This will be calculated according to your wages (voluntary insurance, etc.) for this period, so that its amount will also change automatically compared to the previous benefit.
