What are my reporting obligations towards the Social Insurance Agency?

In addition to the payment of contributions, it is necessary to keep track of the following:

If the employee is unfit for work

  1. Does the incapacity for work last ten days or less?

    There are no obligations.

  2. Does the incapacity for work last more than ten days?

    Send the form proving the employee’s temporary incapacity for work (if issued by the doctor in paper form) to the Social Insurance Agency branch. Do not forget to do so within three days after the tenth day of incapacity for work.

If the employee has suffered a work-related injury

  1. If the accident at work did not require medical treatment or incapacity for work, there are no obligations.
  2. If the accident at work required medical treatment or incapacity for work, please inform the Social Insurance Agency branch in writing. Do not forget to do so within three days of becoming aware of the accident.

If you become insolvent

  1. If a court has accepted an application for bankruptcy: there are no obligations. Your obligations will be taken on by the bankruptcy administrator.
  2. If the court has rejected the application for bankruptcy: send the Employer’s Notification of Insolvency (SK) form to the Social Insurance Agency within 8 days.
USEFUL TIP:

An accident at -related injury and occupational disease are insurance events. The Insurance Event Notification (SK) form can be found in the Forms (SK) section.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

Every work-related injury (and occupational disease) must be recorded and registered. You must send the record of the injury to the Social Insurance Agency within 8 days of becoming aware of it. Likewise, you should forward the results of the investigation of the accident at (and the report on detection of an occupational disease) to the insurance agency within eight days after receipt.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

In addition to the notification of insolvency, provide the Social Insurance Agency with the validated entitlements of your employees for the last three months before the start of your insolvency (if the employment relationship ends three months before its end). Send the validated entitlements to the Social Insurance Agency using the prescribed form within ten working days after their receipt.
